The integration of animations, appearance of moving elements and menus make it possible to strengthen the links with customers or future visitors of the website. These are the latest changes taking place in web design at the moment. Websites that offer fluid and dynamic interfaces are much more attractive; while the trend favours simpler and softer and organic forms. Without however questioning the usual traditional geometric shapes like squares, rectangles we use to, which are still relevant but become a bit rigid for web users.
Vector elements like SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics), which can be obtained from Adobe Illustrator or other online programs, revitalise the way web designers approach their design. With organic forms, websites are transformed into living interfaces spaces and help to reduce barriers between machine and man, by creating a more natural environment. There bring more depth to the design and allow designers to play efficiently with different aspects of their design by even influencing the choice of typography.
The minimalist interface
Always intending to offer smooth and pleasant navigation to visitors, privileging the choice of the minimalist interface is an excellent option. The trend for minimalism came from Google and its new doctrine of “flat design”. With lightweight interfaces, airy and spaced content, shadow and colour effects on the structural elements, visitors will find it easier to find their way and find the information that interests them. This concern for an intuitive and pleasant web experience will encourage visitors to stay on web pages as long as possible.
The menu at the bottom of the screen
This new habit is forcing ergonomists and designers to review the way information is presented on a smartphone, including access to the menu. The thumb scanning area, also known as the thumb area, has become the primary criteria in website design. By integrating the menu at the bottom of the page, we simplify access to information and make the user experience more pleasant for visitors.
The other great concept of web design: UX design
User experience design or UX design is the process of improving user satisfaction by improving the usability, accessibility, and pleasure provided by the interaction between the user and a product or service! UX design is also about finding the values shared between business needs and user needs. To fully understand UX design, it is crucial to know the five primary disciplines that govern it, because technically, user experience is a set of disciplines:
The information architecture connects people to content in a way that is more understandable to them.
Interaction design deals with specific interactions between users and a screen based on the principles of Human-Computer Interaction.
Usability relates to relying on data to determine the merits of design decisions.
Prototyping can be defined as the creation of a preliminary version from which the other forms are developed.
Visual design is about using the visual aspect of a product to improve the user experience.
At moment, my skills are more relevant for the Web Design and Development Jobs. So I do not need specific skills to get to the job market, but I need to improve and update the current one I have.
